Yateen Suman has nearly 20 years of professional experience across industries ranging from public & social services, investment banking, management consulting and administration. A 'University Gold Medalist' in Electronics Engineering from IIT(ISM), Dhanbad, Yateen went to serve the country as a Scientist in DRDO. A 'Dean's Lister' at ISB, Hyderabad helped him land a job at McKinsey & Co., where he travelled across several countries for various management consulting assignments.
Yateen also worked for the State Civil Services in Bihar for nearly 5 years, and also became the first CEO of Ranchi Smart City Corporation Limited in the State of Jharkhand. He has worked across various top notch consulting firms such as Mckinsey, Accenture, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Ernst & Young, and was part of the equity research team with UBS Investment Bank in London. He is currently working in a senior management position with one of the world's leading management consulting firms.
He is also author of his maiden novel "Love in a Wooden Box", and is currently writing his second book. He is a guest faculty at IIM, Ranchi and at Chandragupta Institute of Management (CIMP), Patna. He is a member of the Board of Course Studies at IIT-Patna, and also a member of the Institute Innovation Council (IIC), where he mentors Startups for strategic guidance on 'sustainability' and 'growth'.
After having travelled to more than 30 countries, during one of his visits across his native State of Bihar, Yateen was heart-wrenched to see immense poverty and decided that he must contribute in some way towards the society. As Chairman and Managing Trustee of "Baijnath Foundation'', Yateen is keen to expand the 'caravan' to include like-minded people from all walks of life to join this cause of transforming India, starting with his home State of Bihar. Social causes such as girl child education and public health are close to his heart, because he believes that 'education is the biggest leveller', and that 'poverty is the biggest curse on humanity'!
